About us
Honey Bear Preschool has been serving the Columbia Falls community for over 30 years.
Since 2019, we've provided Montessori education with experienced, credentialed educators in a loving, nurturing environment. Each child is valued as a unique individual, and students are part of a close, caring community.
We are conveniently located between the Back Room Restaurant and Pinewood Family Aquatic Center, and we offer multiple schedules to help meet your family's needs.

Directress - Crystal Hutchisson
Owner and lead teacher Crystal Hutchisson has over twenty years of early childhood teaching experience, including 16 years as a Montessori certified lead teacher. Crystal taught as a lead teacher at Children's House Montessori in Whitefish for three years before teaching for another 13 years at the AMS accredited Woodland Montessori. Before her Montessori adventure began, she also spent several years as a substitute and volunteer in the local schools.
A 35-year local resident, Crystal is excited to bring her experience in the classroom back home to serve the Columbia Falls community. When she isn't elbows-deep in a classroom art project, leading a chorus of "Brown Squirrel" or helping a child read for the first time, you'll find her with her three grown children, planting flowers in her garden or reeling in a big fish.
